  The price of gold has shot up in the last two years, particularly due to the failure of the fiancial markets, and looks likely to keep rising. Google "gold prices" and you can track it from when you actually bought it to today.

  So in raw materials terms, you will likely have made money off your investment.

  In terms of it being a "Taj Mahal gold numismatic coin" – I have no idea i am afraid, speak to a valuer…
