First of all it’s very import to distinguish “collecting coins” from “numismatics”, which is the scientific study of money and its history. The act of collecting coins is something more complex because it can have many different conceptions and meanings.  Coin collecting is really a fun hobby that anyone who has the time can do. A coin’s history and its development may be discovered by collecting rare coins. At one point in time, between 1838 and1933, the United States issued gold coins for circulation. The [...] my nan gave me some of her foreign coins and in her collection is one which looks very old , im not interested money wise , i would just like to know where its from and what date it is , as it is very faded, any info would be great thanks. |
